Job summary

Hillcrest Millard is seeking a friendly Server to join our dining team in Omaha, NE. This Full-Time Days role involves greeting guests, taking orders, serving meals, and ensuring a welcoming dining environment for both guests and residents.

You will follow special dietary needs, assist with meal selections, deliver room trays when needed, and collaborate with culinary staff to maintain a high standard of service in a fast-paced setting. Hillcrest offers competitive pay and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Friendly and service-focused personality.
• Previous dining, food service, or hospitality experience preferred.
• Experience with aging adults helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and residents warmly and provide attentive meal service.
• Take and communicate meal and beverage orders accurately.
• Serve meals and beverages according to preferences and procedures.
• Follow prescribed diets, textures, allergies, and other needs.
• Assist guests with meal selections and dining requests.
• Prepare and deliver room trays when needed.
• Set up dining areas and clean/reset tables after service.
• Maintain clean, organized dining and café areas.
• Assist with dishes, dishwashing, and related tasks as needed.
• Sweep, mop, and help maintain clean dining areas.
• Stock dining areas and manage supplies.
• Complete required food temperature and safety documentation.
• Label, date, store, and rotate food items per procedures.
• Assist with linens, trash removal, and silverware preparation.
• Communicate guest/resident preferences and concerns to the team.
• Build positive relationships through friendly conversation and dependable service.
• Work with culinary and community staff to keep service smooth.
• Assist with special meals, celebrations, and events as assigned.
