Job summary

Hillcrest Health Services is seeking a friendly Server for Hillcrest Millard in Omaha, NE. You will deliver attentive dining service in a welcoming environment, ensuring guests and residents have a positive mealtime experience.

You will greet guests, take orders, serve meals, follow dietary needs, and maintain cleanliness. This full-time day role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and compassionate care for aging adults within a senior living setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous dining, food service, restaurant, hospitality, senior living, or customer-service experience preferred.
• Experience working with aging adults is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and residents with warm, attentive service.
• Take and communicate meal and beverage orders.
• Serve meals according to preferences and procedures.
• Follow diets, textures, allergies, and other dining needs.
• Prepare and deliver room trays when needed.
• Set up dining areas and clean tables after service.
• Assist with dishes, cleaning, and dining-room duties as needed.
• Maintain clean dining areas and sanitize as required.
• Stock dining areas and manage supplies.
• Record food temperatures and safety documentation.
• Store and rotate food items properly.
• Support with linens, trash, and silverware as needed.
• Communicate guest/resident preferences or concerns to team members.
• Build positive relationships through conversation and service.
• Collaborate with culinary and community teams to ensure smooth service.
• Assist with special meals, celebrations, and events as assigned.
