Job summary

John Knox Village is seeking a certified nursing assistant to provide direct resident care and follow facility policies. You will support the Village’s mission and complete required training hours.

ESSENTIAL tasks include assisting with ADLs, taking and recording vital signs, maintaining patient comfort, and documenting care. The role may involve custodial or light food-service duties and requires adherence to safety guidelines and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• MO CNA certification required if MO; KS CNA and Home Health aide certification required if KS.
• Current CPR certification preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provides personal care to residents, assisting with ADLs and other duties within scope of practice as directed.
• Accurately checks and records temperatures, pulses, respirations and blood pressures; weighs residents and records weights.
• Ensures residents are clean, dry and comfortable and reports information to supervising staff promptly.
• Records information on charting forms and completes required nursing care documentation.
• May perform custodial, housekeeping, food service, and wheelchair escort duties as necessary.
• Assists residents with eating when necessary and participates in care plan conferences.
