Job summary

Kimberton Whole Foods in Ottsville is seeking a Full-Time Cut Fruit Produce Team Member to join our team. You will slice, package, weigh and label cut produce, while delivering friendly service to customers and supporting fresh displays.

This role requires availability 6:30am-3pm, 40 hours per week, and weekend flexibility. Starting wage is $16 per hour, with comprehensive benefits for full-time teammates after probation.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Slicing of whole fruits and vegetables, packaging, weighing and labeling of cut produce containers.
• Provide exceptional customer service to all.
• Maintain inventory levels and ensure accurate pricing on products received and sold.
• Complete sanitation standards within Fresh Cut areas of produce department.
• Rotate produce on a first-in first-out basis.
• Maintain abundant, dynamic and fresh displays throughout the department.

The Cut Fruit Produce Team Member's Primary Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to all.
• Slicing of whole fruits and vegetables, packaging, weighing and labeling of cut produce containers
• Maintains appropriate inventory levels and ensures accurate pricing on products received and sold
• Completes all necessary sanitation standards within Fresh Cut areas of produce department
• Rotating fresh produce on a first-in first-out basis.
• Follows the established KWF SOP for maintaining abundant, dynamic and fresh displays throughout the department.
• Working in collaboration with the Produce Department head to maintain accurate and up-to-date product signage

Requirements

PHYSICAL CAPABILITIES:

• Full sense range (vision, hearing and sense of smell) – the ability to read product labels, distinguish color & smell for quality control as well as the ability to communicate with the customers and co-workers.
• Lifting, gripping and carrying objects – up to 50-75 pounds frequently, including boxes, cans, tools and other products.
• Stooping, squatting, & kneeling – stoop and maneuver to pick up boxes from shelving and carts.
• Walking – short distances to bring items from miscellaneous areas.
• Standing- prolonged standing.
• Work environment – movement based with the majority of time being in motion (walking & standing) rather that sedentary (sitting).
• Climate – ability to work in cold environments (cooler, Freezer, back stock area) and handle cold products for extended periods of time on a regular basis.
