Kimberton Whole Foods, Inc. is seeking a part-time Perishable Team Member in Wyomissing. The role requires availability for up to 24 hours per week with at least one weekend shift.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to all.
• Receive and stock refrigerated/frozen items, including meat, dairy, bakery.
• Stock and handle products following time/temperature guidelines.
• Prioritize product, vendor, and fresh department logistics; manage multiple small vendors.
• Rotate backstock on a first-in first-out basis.
• Execute current ordering SOP to keep shelves stocked.
• Monitor inventory to prevent false out of stocks.
• Collaborate with Perishable Department Head to maintain signage.
• Follow cleaning SOP for meat, dairy and prepared foods cases.
• Assist Front End by scanning groceries and bagging efficiently.
• Assist in other areas of the store as needed.

Kimberton Whole Foods in Wyomissing is hiring for a part-time Perishable Team Member!

Requirements

Part-time, up to 24 hours per week. One weekend shift is required per week.

Schedule

Availability Saturday and/or Sunday, Monday and Friday. Shifts are within a 7am-6:30pm.

Age Requirement

Must be 16 years or older.

Starting Hourly Pay

$15.00 - $18.00

Benefits

Part-time team members are eligible for a 15% store discount after 60 days and a 401K with matching 3% after one year and 1000 hours worked.

DAILY OPERATIONS

The Perishable Team Member’s primary responsibilities to execute the following.

• Provide exceptional customer service to all.
• Receive and stock all incoming refrigerated/frozen items including fresh meat and fish, local eggs and dairy. Receive and stock fresh bakery items and specialty products.
• Stock and handle products following guidelines for time and temperature demands.
• Prioritization of product, vendor and fresh department logistic; managing multiple small vendors.
• Rotating backstock on a first-in first-out basis.
• Execute the current KWF ordering SOP to maintain fully stocked shelves in all departments.
• Awareness of the general inventory and priorities of the department ensuring no false out of stocks.
• Work in collaboration with the Perishable Department Head to maintain accurate and up-to-date product signage throughout the entire department.
• Follow KWF cleaning SOP in collaboration with the Perishable Department Head. This includes weekly cleaning of the meat, dairy and prepared food cases.
• Assist the Front End by scanning customers' groceries and completing all transactions efficiently. Carefully and efficiently bags groceries.
• Assist in other areas of the store as needed.

Requirements

Physical Capabilities

• Full sense range (vision, hearing, and sense of smell) – the ability to read product labels, distinguish color & smell for quality control as well as the ability to communicate with the customers and co-workers.
• Lifting, gripping, and carrying objects – up to 50-75 pounds frequently, including boxes, cans, tools and other products.
• Stooping, squatting, & kneeling – stoop and maneuver to pick up boxes from shelving and carts.
• Walking – short distances to bring items from miscellaneous areas.
• Standing- prolonged standing.
• Work environment – movement based with the majority of time being in motion (walking & standing) rather that sedentary (sitting).
• Climate – ability to work in cold environments (cooler, Freezer, back stock area) and handle cold products for extended periods of time on a regular basis.
