Job summary

Enviro-Clean is seeking a dependable Custodial Trainer/Recruiting Assistant in Walled Lake, MI for first shift. The role trains janitorial staff on cleaning procedures, equipment, safety, and company expectations while providing coaching and support.

You will also assist with recruiting and hiring during peak periods, travel between locations as needed, and help with sub cleaning duties. A valid driver’s license and reliable transport are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in janitorial, custodial, housekeeping, or facilities preferred.
• Training, coaching, supervisory, recruiting, or hiring experience is a plus.
• Strong communication and people skills.
• Organized, dependable, and comfortable working independently.
• Driver’s license and own reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Sub Cleaning: Duties include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, trash removal, and restroom care as needed.

At Enviro-Clean we’re looking for a dependable, people-focused Custodial Trainer/Recruiting Assistant to train and support janitorial team members while assisting with recruiting and hiring needs as needed.

1 st Shift

Full-Time

$21.50/hour

Key Responsibilities - Primary focus: Employee Training & Development

• Train new and existing janitorial employees on cleaning procedures, equipment, safety, and company expectations.
• Provide coaching, follow-up, and support to help employees succeed.
• Use cleaning equipment such as backpack vacuums and floor scrubbers (training provided)
• Step in as recruiting/hiring support during periods of increased hiring needs.
• Partner with Operations to identify training and staffing needs.
• Travel between locations as needed for training, recruiting, and employee support (sub cleaning).
• Sub Cleaning: Duties include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, trash removal, and restroom care as needed

What We’re Looking For

• Janitorial, custodial, housekeeping, or facilities experience preferred.
• Training, coaching, supervisory, recruiting, or hiring experience is a plus.
• Strong communication and people skills.
• Organized, dependable, and comfortable working independently.
• Professional and approachable with the ability to motivate others.
• Previous maintenance, handyman, or related experience preferred, but not required.
• Bilingual candidates preferred; however, bilingual skills are not a disqualifying factor.
• Valid driver's license and own reliable transportation (paid mileage and drive time)
