Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, seeks full-time Flex Houseparents. Couples reside on campus, supervising a group of 8–13 students and guiding their academic, emotional, and social growth within a family-like home.

They will manage daily routines, meals, and transportation, with duties including devotions, chapel, budgeting, and reporting. A commitment to safety, integrity, and service is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for couples married at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children in the home.
• Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and ensure student wellness.
• Drive students to activities and engage in developmental/recreational activities.
• Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
