Job summary

Lake Eustis Healthcare & Rehabilitation is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team on a full-time basis in Eustis, FL. You will work with licensed OTs and an interdisciplinary group to deliver individualized therapy that restores independence.

The ideal candidate holds a Florida COTA license, has completed an accredited OTA program, and thrives in a long-term care setting.

Qualifications

Current Florida COTA license is required.
Graduate of an accredited OTA program.
Long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

Assist the Occupational Therapist in implementing individualized treatment plans to improve residents' functional abilities and independence.
Guide residents through therapeutic exercises and ADLs to promote recovery and maximize independence.
Monitor resident progress and document treatments and responses per facility policies.
Communicate with Occupational Therapists, nursing staff, physicians, and other care team members.
Ensure resident safety during therapy sessions following infection control and safety guidelines.
Maintain confidentiality of resident information per HIPAA and facility policies.
Foster a positive, encouraging environment supporting residents throughout rehabilitation.
