Baybrooke Village Care and Rehab Center in McKinney, TX is seeking a Cook who is passionate about quality meals for residents. The role follows standard menus, prepares food, and supervises serving by wait staff; participates in cleaning and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• One year experience as a cook in hotel, restaurant, hospital, or similar institution preferred.
• Food handlers’ card required, or Food Safety Certification where required by local ordinance.
• Fundamental understanding of sanitation, cleanliness, and personal hygiene.
• Able to communicate tactfully with coworkers, residents, family, visitors, and the public.
• Regular, predictable and dependable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Safe Food Handling: follow guidelines for handling, storage, and temps; perform daily checks.
• Food Preparation: cook using standardized recipes, ensure correct portions and diet requirements.
• General Food Service Duties: serve meals, clean work areas, store leftovers properly, maintain sanitation.
• Team coordination: assist other staff and close the kitchen per policy and regulatory needs.
