Job summary

Empowering Abilities is seeking a Cook to prepare high quality, nutritious meals under sanitary conditions. You will use nutrition and dietary skills to consistently meet high standards and bring joy to those you serve.

The role starts at $14/hour and is full-time with a 4-day workweek, including alternating weekends. Expect 7:30am–6:00pm shifts, holiday work possible, and a focus on dignity, respect, and teamwork in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Must lift 50 lbs.
• Must meet health screening and TB test requirements.

Responsibilities

• Treats everyone with dignity and respect.
• Prepares food, beverages, and snacks according to recipes and menus.
• Maintain high standards of food preparation, handling, and storage.
• Assist with cleanliness of all areas and equipment.
