Telecare Corporation is seeking a Cook at the Muriel Wright Recovery Center CRT in San Jose, CA. You will be responsible for the ordering, preparation, cooking, and serving of meals to residents, including meats, vegetables, soups and desserts, with attention to therapeutic diets.

The position is full-time with a Sunday to Thursday shift from 10:00 am to 6:30 pm. Starting wages range from $23.00 to $25.76 per hour, with geographic differentials applied.

Qualificações

• Two years of experience in food production and knowledge of therapeutic diets.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• CPR, CPI, and First Aid certification on date of employment or within 60 days of employment and maintain current certification throughout employment.
• All pre-employment checks including physical, TB test, background checks, sanctions, and license verification as required.

What You Will Do to Change Lives

The Cook is responsible for the ordering, preparation, cooking and serving of food to members served. This includes seasoning and cooking meat, fish, vegetables, soups, salads and desserts.

Shifts Available:

Full Time | AM | Shift: Sunday to Thursday 10am-6:30pm

Expected starting wage range is $23.00 - $25.76. Telecare applies geographic differentials to its pay ranges. The pay range assigned to this role will be based on the geographic location from which the role is performed. Starting pay is commensurate with relevant experience above the minimum requirements.

What You Bring to the Table (Must Have)

• Two (2) years of experience in food production and knowledge of therapeutic diets
• High School graduation or a G.E.D. equivalent
• Experience in the use of institutional kitchen equipment such as steam tables, stoves, refrigerators and freezers
• Knowledge of nutritional principles in the preparation of regular and therapeutic diets
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must be CPR, Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI), and First Aid certified on date of employment or within 60 days of employment and maintain current certification throughout employment
• All opportunities at Telecare are contingent upon successful completion and receipt of acceptable results of the applicable post-offer physical examination, 2-step PPD test for tuberculosis, acceptable criminal background clearances, excluded party sanctions, and degree or license verification. If the position requires driving, valid driver's license, a motor vehicle clearance, and proof of auto insurance is required at time of employment and must be maintained throughout employment. The Muriel Wright Recovery Center CRT is a 15-bed, voluntary crisis residential treatment center on Santa Clara County's Muriel Wright behavioral health campus in San Jose, California. The CRT is co-located on the same campus as the Substance Use Treatment Services (SUTS) program. The program was created as an alternative to and diversion from Emergency Psychiatric Services (EPS), acute psychiatric hospitalization, and incarceration. The CRT will serve a co-ed population with 90% male and 10% female census predicted; all referrals will be persons with justice-involved mental health status. The average length of stay for this program is 14-21 days. The Muriel Wright Recovery Center CRT program is under contract with Santa Clara County Behavioral Health Services Department.
