Job summary

Liberty Commons Skilled Nursing Facility in Chatham is seeking a FULL TIME cook to join our Dietary Department.

The pay rate for this position is between $22 -$27 per hour. This role does not have any fixed shifts, the schedule will depend upon your own availability and our needs. Responsibilities include setting up workstations, preparing ingredients, cooking, presenting dishes, maintaining a clean, sanitized kitchen, and managing storage and stock levels to prevent shortages.

Qualifications

• Experience as a cook.
• Ability to follow sanitation procedures.
• Ability to work in a team.
• Very good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment.
• Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat etc.).
• Cook food in various utensils or grillers.
• Ensure great presentation by dressing dishes before they are served.
• Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen.
• Ensure all food and other items are stored properly.
• Check quality of ingredients.
• Monitor stock and place orders when there are shortages.
