A prominent food services provider in Centerville seeks a full-time Cook to maintain kitchen cleanliness, prepare meals using established guidelines, and support dietary staff. Ideal candidates will possess a high school diploma and at least one year of relevant cooking experience, ideally in a healthcare environment. Communication skills and a ServSafe Certificate are essential for success in this dynamic kitchen atmosphere.
Full Time Cook $17.00 (Food Services)
Maintain kitchen and cooking area in a safe, orderly, clean, and sanitary manner. Prepare tasteful meals and cook a variety of foods in large quantities, following prepared menus and portion control guides. Prepare special diets accurately and record food temperatures. Prepare pureed foods and make food presentation appealing to residents.
Work cooperatively with personnel in all departments, maintain sanitizer solutions, assist with meal serving, and clean cooking areas and serving carts. Report resident care concerns to the Administrator or Director of Nurses. Participate in orientation and ongoing training of dietary staff. Supervise in the absence of the Dietary Supervisor.
