Job summary

CBRE Government and Defense is seeking a diligent Cleaner/Day Porter to maintain cleanliness in high-traffic areas of the assigned building. You will perform mopping, sweeping, trash disposal, and restocking duties daily.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, at least 2 years of related experience, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. This is a full-time on-site position with opportunities to participate in safety trainings.

Qualifications

• Requires ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail
• Able to follow established routines and procedures
• Basic verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Provide daily cleaning support to high-traffic areas of the building designated by the supervisor
• Stock bathrooms with toilet paper, towels, Kleenex, and soap
• Sweep, vacuum, wipe, and mop storage units, hallways, restrooms, elevators, etc.
• Dust furniture, walls, and equipment including moving furniture as needed
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors with appropriate cleaners
• Ensure cleaning supplies are stored safely at all times
• Follow standardized cleaning processes per company standards
• Adhere to procedures for use of chemical cleaners and power equipment
• Attend required staff meetings and training sessions
• Work independently or as part of a team and follow established routines
