Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have a master's degree in English or a related field with 18 graduate credit hours in English or writing-related courses.
• Strong working knowledge of current technologies appropriate to instruction and delivery methods.

Responsibilities

• Deliver assigned classes using pedagogy and technology that best support student learning and align with course objectives and program outcomes.
• Develop and maintain curriculum and supporting course materials to advance course objectives and program outcomes.
• Maintain student records, attendance, and grades per policy; manage a conducive classroom environment.
• Facilitate student achievement of expected program learning outcomes; use Ivy Learn for teaching, assessment, and communication.
• Provide academic coaching and monitor student performance; intervene with tutoring and supports as needed.
• Promote student recruitment, retention, and successful program completion; engage with advisors and resources.

Education

Master's degree in English from a regionally accredited institution

Master's degree in any field with 18 graduate credit hours in English, linguistics, or courses related to the writing process
