Job summary

McLaren Health Care in Michigan is seeking a Nurse Assistant Certified for the 1 W Infusion unit. Under RN supervision, you will perform receptionist and secretarial duties on the unit, support nursing staff, and ensure patient safety and comfort.

Responsibilities include hourly rounding, assisting with patient care, and maintaining patient privacy and dignity. Requirements include high school diploma, CNA training or equivalent, Michigan CNA, BLS, and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completed Nurse Aide training or 6 months CNA experience, or fundamentals if enrolled in nursing program.
• Current State of Michigan CNA certification and BLS certification.
• Basic keyboard/computer knowledge and medical terminology familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Performs purposeful hourly rounding including Pain, Position, Personal needs, and Possessions.
• Promptly answers telephone/call lights and relays pertinent information to staff.
• Assists nursing staff with patient care: beds, baths, feeding, vital signs, glucose testing, mobilization/ambulation.

Skills

Keyboard knowledge

Medical terminology

Unit Clerk experience (preferred)

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Nurse Aide training completed

Current MI CNA certification
