Job summary

Forest Hills of DC, a nonprofit senior living and healthcare organization in the heart of Washington, D.C., has earned a Great Place to Work honor for 2024. - 3 p.m.). Responsibilities include assisting residents with daily living per care plans, light housekeeping, and promoting engagement and independence.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current DC CNA license with Board of Nursing.
• Must hold a current CPR license.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Able to relate information concerning residents’ health.
• Must meet general health requirements.
• Must be able to carry, push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of fifty pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living per individualized care plans.
• Assist residents in Health Care Center with daily living activities, light housekeeping, meal prep, and engaging interactions.
• Encourage resident involvement in self-care and independence.

Schedule:

Day Shift (7 a.m. - 3 p.m.)

Pay:

$22 per hour plus $500 sign-on bonus!

Job Duties

• Assist Forest Hills of DC residents with activities of daily living (e.g., bathing, grooming, dressing, locomotion, feeding) in accordance with individualized care plan.
• Assist Forest Hills residents in the Health Care Center with daily living activities, such as light housekeeping, meal prep, and engaging interactions. Every task contributes to their happiness, all while following their individualized care plans.
• Assist resident in meeting their personal care needs and provided individualized attention while encouraging resident involvement in self-care.

Job Requirements

• Current District of Columbia CNA license with Board of Nursing
• Current CPR license
• Must posses’ excellent communication skills.
• Must be able to relate information concerning the residents’ health.
• Must meet general health requirements.
• Must be able to carry, push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of fifty pounds.
• Must have personal integrity, flexibility, and the ability to work effectively with residents.
