Job summary

Hanford Post Acute is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for a full-time position in Hanford, CA. The CNA will provide routine daily nursing care per resident care plans, promoting comfort, safety, and well-being.

CPR is preferred; state CNA certification is required, with English communication and basic math skills valued. Responsibilities include personal care, vital signs, documentation, and assisting with meals and therapies.

Qualifications

• High school education or completion of 10th grade minimum.
• Valid California CNA Certification (required)
• CPR certification (preferred)
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
• Basic math, reasoning, and documentation skills
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork abilities
• Compassionate, reliable, and committed to providing excellent resident care

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and oral hygiene
• Assist with transferring, repositioning, and transporting residents safely
• Measure and record vital signs (TPRs), weight, and food/fluid intake as instructed
• Observe and report changes in residents' conditions or behaviors to the nurse supervisor
• Maintain residents’ rooms in a clean, safe, and orderly manner
• Assist with meal delivery and feeding; provide after-meal care
• Help residents prepare for medical exams or therapies
• Support restorative and rehabilitative care efforts
• Ensure documentation is accurate, complete, and timely
• Respect resident privacy and confidentiality at all times
