AdventHealth in Riverview, FL is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinic operations and patient care. This full-time, day-shift role involves preparing patients, documenting results, and coordinating care with the healthcare team.

You will maintain compliance with policies, manage tests and equipment, and assist with procedures while delivering compassionate, patient-centered service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Travels as needed to fulfill staffing needs and support clinic operations.
• Stays up to date with policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with standards.
• Maintains education requirements and demonstrates competency through annual clinical competencies and tests.
• Prepares patients and equipment for treatment; initiates testing and documents results.
• Maintains OSHA compliance and office safety processes.
• Provides comprehensive care during visits, including intake, tests, labs, medications and closing care gaps.
• Maintains confidentiality of employee and patient information.
• Supports staff teamwork by assisting patients, visitors and coworkers.
• Performs clinical intake including screenings, history, vital signs and medication reconciliation.
• Assists with minor procedures and documents results.
• Educates patients on tests, medications, and diet with clear instructions.
• Monitors inventory and ensures supplies and equipment are functional.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
