Qualifications

• High School Grad or Equiv [Required]
• 1+ year of related work experience [Preferred]
• Knowledge of health care field and medical terminology [Required]
• Knowledge of chronic disease management [Required]
• Knowledge of internal and external resources [Required]
• Expertise in patient advocacy and navigating complex systems [Required]
• Experience with computers required [Required]
• Demonstrates ability to communicate in English to carry out job requirements [Required]
• Basic Life Support - CPR (BLS) [Required]
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) [Required]
• Clinical Medical Assistant Certification (CMAC) [Required]
• Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) [Required]
• National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) [Required]
• Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) [Required]
• Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA) [Required]

Responsabilités

• Maintains education requirements and competency through annual tests
• Prepares patients and equipment for treatment
• Initiates testing and documents results
• Maintains OSHA compliance and safety processes
• Provides whole patient care during visits (intake, tests, screenings, labs, medications)
• Educates patients regarding tests, medications and diet
• Manages inventory and equipment availability
• Supports staff by assisting patients, visitors and coworkers
