Job summary

Signature HealthCARE in Chapel Hill, NC, is seeking a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) who is also a licensed CNA. You will administer medications, document accurately, and support nursing staff with resident care in a fast-paced, resident-centered environment.

Must hold CMA and CNA certifications in NC, demonstrate attention to detail, and communicate effectively with the nursing team. This full-time day position offers a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Current CMA and CNA certifications in NC.
• Strong attention to detail with accurate medication preparation and documentation.
• Knowledge of facility policies and state regulations governing medication administration.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a nursing team and under licensed nursing staff.
• Customer service oriented with the ability to work under pressure.
• Flexible and adaptable to change.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications as ordered, under supervision.
• Observe and document medication administration, including refusals or errors.
• Monitor medication supply levels and coordinate with the Charge Nurse.
• Adhere to the 5 rights of medication administration.
• Assist with ADLs and CNA-level care as needed.
• Participate in quality assurance and process improvement activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Charge Nurse or Director of Nursing.
