Job summary

Hennepin Healthcare is seeking a Medical Lab Technician in Minneapolis to join our team. This full-time position involves working across various clinic labs including Brooklyn Park, East Lake, Golden Valley, Richfield, and Whittier. The Medical Lab Technician will perform and evaluate clinical tests, assist with laboratory duties, and report to the Laboratory Supervisor.

The ideal candidate will have an Associate degree or equivalent training, and be certified as a Medical Laboratory Technician. Strong communication skills and the ability to work with diverse populations are essential.

Qualifications

• Certified as a Medical Laboratory Technician (ASCP) or eligible for certification.
• Ability to read and follow written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory collections and testing.
• Document in the laboratory information system.
• Monitor quality control processes.
• Calibrate and maintain instrumentation.
• Troubleshoot instrumentation and samples.
• Train new team members and interns.
• Assist with inventory maintenance.
• Maintain competency in multiple testing areas.
