Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist with classroom activities and school routines as directed by the teacher.
• Guide independent study, enrichment and remedial work set up by the teacher.
• Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce material or skills.
• Correct papers or workbooks and keep records as assigned by the teacher.
• Prepare bulletin boards and displays as requested by the teacher.
• Serve as chief information source for substitutes in the absence of the regular teacher.
• Maintain confidentiality of student information and ethical behavior.
• Participate in in-service training programs as assigned.
• Supervise lunch or play periods as scheduled.
• Carry out other duties assigned by the Superintendent of Schools and the Board of Education
