Job summary

UNC Women's Health at Eden is seeking a full-time Certified Nurse Midwife to join a practice of two OBGYNs and a Nurse Practitioner in Eden, NC. The Nurse Midwife will provide antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and newborn care within UNC Health.

The role requires MSN and CNM certification, NC RN licensure, and several years of relevant nursing experience, including midwifery. Office hours align with a daytime schedule, and benefits are provided by UNC Health.

Qualifications

• MSN required and CNM program graduation.
• RN licensure in North Carolina (compact accepted) and CNM certification.
• Three years clinical nursing experience; at least one year full-panel midwifery experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess and manage antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum and newborn care.
• Perform physical exams, document data and coordinate plan of care.
• Order labs, schedule tests and consultations; prescribe interventions and medications as appropriate.
• Manage labor and spontaneous delivery; document and evaluate midwifery care.
• Deliveries average ~10 per month per provider.
