Responsibilities include escorting patients, measuring vital signs, assisting providers with procedures, and maintaining exam rooms and logs. Job Title: Certified Medical Assistant

Job Status: Full-Time

Reports to: Practice Operations Manager

Summary: As part of our team, our Certified Medical Assistants work closely with our providers and patients to ensure quality and compassionate care. More specifically, our CMA's interview and triage patients, measure vital signs, document all information in patients charts and assist the Providers in exam rooms. Additionally, they maintain logs, keep exam rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies, handle calls as appropriate, and support the overall patient need(s) as directed

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms, interview patients, measure vital signs, including weight, blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and document all information in patients’ charts
• Assist providers in exam rooms; give instructions to patients as instructed by the providers
• Perform certain procedures such as blood draw, EKG, etc.
• Keep exam rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies, maintain instruments, prepare sterilization as required
• Provide feedback and answers to patient/provider/pharmacy calls
• Maintain all logs and required checks (i.e. refrigerator temperatures, emergency medications, expired medications, oxygen, etc.)
• Must be willing to cross-train for patient registration when necessary
• Must be willing to float to other sites as needed
• All other duties as assigned by Practice Operations Manager or Practice Administrator

• Medical through Cigna (multiple tiers depending on coverage and cost desires)

Requirements

• Active BLS through AHA
