Essential Functions:

1. Customer Service
2. Provides SMART customer service at all times through the daily execution of Lowe's customer service policies, procedures, and programs.
3. Seeks out customers to understand their needs and assists in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and/or loading merchandise.
4. Listens to and responds knowledgeably and promptly to customer and employee questions by walking them through projects when necessary.
5. Demonstrates sincere appreciation to customers.
6. Communicates information to customers regarding all stock, special order merchandise, feature benefits, application, and warranty information related to Lowe’s programs.
7. Contacts customers regarding delivery or coordinates with the truck driver to call the customer.

In-stock

1. Plans delivery activities, prints loading tickets, and delivers merchandise according to schedule to ensure on-time delivery of orders.
2. Pulls merchandise, builds and bands delivery loads, and loads trucks (within payload) according to delivery order.
3. Inspects condition of products (e.g., appliances) before loading for delivery or assisting customer with loading.
4. Matches items on invoice with quantities loaded by verifying descriptions, items, and model numbers.

Clean and Safe Stores

1. Ensures that the loads are safe, secure, and within Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
2. Updates delivery and route status (e.g., on-site, completed) on system (e.g., iPhone) for tracking purposes.
3. Unloads, installs, and tests appliances upon delivery.
4. Verifies daily vehicle inspections and reports, and ensures cleanliness, maintenance, and repairs for delivery vehicles and other equipment (e.g., lift gates).
5. Completes Department of Transportation (DOT) reporting to maintain DOT certification and CDL compliance.
6. Detects common signs of shoplifting, theft, and other security risks, and promptly communicates them to management and/or Asset Protection.
7. Ensures compliance with housekeeping standards and programs (e.g., Zone Recovery) to maintain cleanliness and organization of store and working areas.
8. Maintains a safe and secure work environment, including conducting daily safety reviews, noting hazards, keeping aisles clear, and securing doors and gates.
9. Adheres to all safety requirements relevant to the job duties, such as top stock safety, safety cable reinstallation, use of aisle blockers, tether lines on power equipment, spotters, and safety devices.
10. Operates store equipment as needed depending on the role and department (e.g., Zebra phone, telephone, paging system, copiers, fax machines, computers, CCTV surveillance system, key cutter, panel saw, paint mixer, flooring cutters, compactor baler).
11. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• Class A CDL License - required in locations with multi-unit CMV (tractor trailer & flatbed).
• Class B CDL License - required in locations with single-unit CMV (tandem flatbed) with air brake endorsement.
• Valid medical certificate or ability to obtain one upon employment.
• Ability to pass MVR screen per company requirements.
• Ability to obtain sales-related licensure or registration as required by law.
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Ability to comply with DOT and CDL regulations.

Preferences:

• 1 Year experience driving a semi-truck/trailer or certification from a driving school.
• 6 Months experience performing in-home delivery or retail customer service.
• 3 Months experience operating a forklift or Moffett onloading/offloading a vehicle.

Pay Range: $22.90 - $24.70 per hour
