Job description

Essential Functions:

1. Customer Service

• Provides SMART customer service by following Lowe's policies and procedures.
• Engages with customers to understand needs and assists with locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and loading merchandise.
• Responds promptly to customer and employee questions, guiding them through projects when needed.
• Expresses sincere appreciation to customers.
• Shares information about stock, special orders, features, benefits, applications, and warranties related to Lowe's programs.
• Communicates with customers regarding delivery and coordinates with drivers.

In-stock

• Plans delivery schedules, prepares loading tickets, and ensures timely delivery.
• Pulls merchandise, builds, bands loads, and loads trucks within payload limits.
• Inspects products before loading or assisting with loading.
• Verifies invoice items against loaded quantities.

Clean and Safe Stores

• Ensures loads are safe, secure, and compliant with DOT regulations.
• Updates delivery status in tracking systems.
• Unloads, installs, and tests appliances upon delivery.
• Maintains vehicle inspections, cleanliness, and repairs.
• Completes DOT reports to maintain certification and compliance.
• Detects security risks and reports them promptly.
• Maintains store cleanliness and organization.
• Ensures a safe work environment, conducting safety reviews and hazard identification.
• Adheres to safety requirements such as top stock safety, safety cables, aisle blockers, and safety devices.
• Operates store equipment as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• Class A CDL License (for multi-unit locations) or Class B CDL License with air brake endorsement (for single-unit locations).
• Valid medical certificate or ability to obtain one.
• Ability to pass MVR screening.
• Ability to obtain required sales licenses or registrations.
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Ability to comply with DOT and CDL regulations.

Preferences:

• 1 year of experience driving semi-trucks/trailers or certification from a driving school.
• 6 months experience in in-home delivery or retail customer service.
• 3 months experience operating a forklift or Moffett for onloading/offloading.
