Job description

Essential Functions:

1. Customer Service
2. Provides SMART customer service by following Lowe's policies, procedures, and programs.
3. Assists customers in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and loading merchandise.
4. Responds promptly and knowledgeably to customer and employee questions, guiding them through projects when necessary.
5. Expresses sincere appreciation to customers.
6. Communicates product information, including stock, special orders, features, benefits, applications, and warranties related to Lowe's programs.
7. Contacts customers regarding deliveries or coordinates with truck drivers to inform customers.

In-stock

1. Plans delivery activities, prints loading tickets, and ensures on-time delivery according to schedule.
2. Prepares merchandise, builds and bands loads, and loads trucks within payload limits.
3. Inspects products before loading or assisting customers with loading.
4. Verifies invoice items against loaded quantities, descriptions, and model numbers.

Clean and Safe Stores

1. Ensures loads are safe, secure, and compliant with DOT regulations.
2. Updates delivery and route status in tracking systems.
3. Unloads, installs, and tests appliances upon delivery.
4. Performs vehicle inspections, maintains cleanliness, and reports repairs for delivery vehicles and equipment.
5. Completes DOT reporting to maintain certification and compliance.
6. Detects security risks such as shoplifting and reports promptly.
7. Maintains store cleanliness and organization following safety standards.
8. Follows safety requirements, including use of safety devices and procedures.
9. Operates store equipment as needed based on role and department.
10. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

1. Class A or B CDL License with endorsements, depending on location.
2. Valid medical certificate or ability to obtain one.
3. Ability to pass MVR screening.
4. Legal ability to obtain required sales licenses.
5. Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills.
6. Must be 21 years or older.
7. Ability to comply with DOT and CDL regulations.

Preferences:

1. 1 year of semi-truck/trailer driving experience or certification.
2. 6 months of in-home delivery or retail customer service experience.
3. 3 months of forklift operation or vehicle onloading/offloading experience.
