Essential Functions:

1. Customer Service

• Provides SMART customer service at all times through the daily execution of Lowe's customer service policies, procedures, and programs.
• Seeks out customers to understand their needs and assists in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and/or loading merchandise.
• Responds knowledgeably and promptly to customer and employee questions, guiding them through projects when necessary.
• Demonstrates sincere appreciation to customers.
• Communicates information regarding stock, special order merchandise, feature benefits, application, and warranty related to Lowe’s programs.
• Contacts customers regarding delivery or coordinates with the truck driver to call the customer.

In-stock

• Plans delivery activities, prints loading tickets, and delivers merchandise according to schedule to ensure on-time delivery.
• Pulls merchandise, builds and bands delivery loads, and loads trucks within payload limits.
• Inspects product condition before loading or assisting customers with loading.
• Verifies invoice items and quantities loaded.

Clean and Safe Stores

• Ensures loads are safe, secure, and compliant with DOT regulations.
• Updates delivery and route status for tracking purposes.
• Unloads, installs, and tests appliances upon delivery.
• Performs vehicle inspections, maintains cleanliness, and reports repairs.
• Completes DOT reporting to maintain certification and compliance.
• Detects security risks and reports promptly.
• Maintains store and work area cleanliness and organization.
• Follows safety standards and operates store equipment as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• Class A CDL License required for locations with multi-unit CMV; Class B CDL License with air brake endorsement for single-unit CMV.
• Valid medical certificate or ability to obtain upon employment.
• Ability to pass MVR screen and obtain necessary licensure.
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Ability to comply with DOT and CDL regulations.

Preferences:

• 1 year experience driving semi-trucks/trailers or certification from a driving school.
• 6 months experience in in-home delivery or retail customer service.
• 3 months experience operating a forklift or Moffett for onloading/offloading.
