Job summary

Sahm’s Hospitality Group in Indianapolis is seeking a Caterer to prepare, deliver, and serve bulk meal orders for events across Indiana. You will set up dining areas, coordinate meal delivery, and ensure food safety and temperatures, with flexibility for travel within the state.

Applicants should have restaurant serving or bartending experience, be able to stand 10 hours, lift up to 50 lbs, and hold a valid Indiana driver’s license. Benefits include health coverage and PTO.

Qualifications

• Previous experience serving or bartending in a restaurant.
• Ability to stand/walk for a 10-hour shift which could include lifting up to 50lbs.
• Must have a valid Indiana Driver’s License.
• Well groomed and good hygiene.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Have obtained a liquor license and Safe Serve Certification. (not required but encouraged)
• Work a varied and rotating schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• The ability to comfortably communicate, read, and comprehend instruction and policies as well as understand menus and brand standards.
• Preferred: Highschool Diploma or GED
• Preferred: Bilingual with Spanish language

Responsibilities

• Serving food to guests at an event which could be a buffet style or sit down meal.
• Cleaning up and tearing down the dining area by removing all tableware, linens, garbage, and furniture.
• May be asked to travel anywhere in the State of Indiana

Role and Responsibilities

A Caterer is in charge of preparing, delivering, and serving bulk meal orders to clients based on their menu selection and event type. As a Caterer you may be required to coordinate meal delivery, manage food preparation timelines, set up equipment to serve food and preserve temperature, and serve the food to the guests. Some of the Caterers responsibilities include:

• Setting up tables and food service areas with chairs, linens, and dishes.
• Serving food to guests at an even which could be both a buffet style or sit down meal.
• Cleaning up and tearing down the dining area by removing all tableware, linens, garbage, and furniture.
• May be asked to travel anywhere in the State of Indiana
