Job summary

Goodwill Manasota is seeking a friendly, customer-focused Cashier to join our Bradenton campus team. You will manage the POS, greet customers, and engage shoppers with our mission-driven programs. The role involves multitasking, ringing up sales accurately, and supporting team members on a busy sales floor.

The position is full-time with a stable 40-hour work week and benefits. Prior retail and cash handling experience are preferred, with availability on days, evenings, and weekends ensuring

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Prior experience in a retail environment preferred
• Six months of cash handling experience preferred
• Must be willing and able to work days, evenings, and weekends
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without accommodation

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome customers with enthusiasm
• Operate the POS to ensure accurate and efficient sales data, price, and information codes on merchandise
• Welcome customers to participate in a Change Round Up to the nearest dollar to further support our missions
• Respond to phone calls while offering world class customer service
• Assist in the training of new team members and cashiers
• Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe sales floor and return all unsold merchandise to the floor
