Job summary

Endeavor Health Services in Buffalo, NY is seeking a full-time Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) to provide direct clinical care, assessments, and recovery support for individuals with substance use disorders.

You will conduct screenings, develop treatment plans, deliver individual and group counseling, and coordinate care within a multidisciplinary team, with HIPAA compliance and travel between local program sites.

Qualifications

• Valid CASAC certification is required.
• Experience in substance use disorder treatment preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work both independently and with a team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-admission screenings and determine level of care.
• Complete substance use disorder assessments and treatment plans.
• Provide individual, group, and family counseling.
• Deliver person-centered, strengths-based harm reduction care.
• Maintain accurate EHR documentation.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings.
• Coordinate care with medical staff and referrals.
• Discharge planning and follow-up outreach.
• Connect clients with community resources and supports.
• Ensure HIPAA/regulatory compliance.
• Travel locally between sites as needed.
• Maintain CASAC certification and trainings.
