Job summary

Endeavor Health Services in Buffalo, NY is seeking a full-time Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) to provide direct clinical care, assessments, and recovery support for individuals with substance use disorders.

You will conduct screenings, develop treatment plans, deliver individual and group counseling, and coordinate care within a multidisciplinary team, with HIPAA compliance and travel between local program sites.

Qualifications

• Valid CASAC certification is required.
• Experience in substance use disorder treatment preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work both independently and with a team.

Responsibilities

Description

Endeavor Health Services is seeking a full-time Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) to provide direct clinical care, assessments, and recovery support for individuals with substance use disorders. This role includes rapid access services, individual and group counseling, and care coordination within a multidisciplinary team.

What You’ll Do

• Conduct pre-admission screenings and determine appropriate level of care
• Complete substance use disorder assessments and develop treatment plans
• Provide individual, group, and family counseling
• Deliver person-centered, strengths-based, and harm reduction care
• Maintain accurate documentation in Electronic Health Records (EHR)
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings
• Coordinate care with medical staff, case managers, and referral sources
• Conduct discharge planning and follow-up outreach
• Connect the people we serve with community resources and recovery supports
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and regulatory standards
• Travel locally (5-10 miles) between program sites as needed
• Maintain CASAC certification and complete required trainings

Compensation & Benefits

• $24.13 – $30.16/hour (based on education, experience and credentials)
• $2,500 sign-on bonus
