Job summary

Decena Home Care, LLC is recruiting a Full-Time Personal Caregiver for on-site work in Herndon, VA. You will perform homemaker duties, private duty care, and companionship, while supporting 24-hour care and palliative tasks.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and CPR/First Aid certification; CNA/PCA/HHA credentials are preferred. This is a on-site position with flexible shifts and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Caregiver (2 years preferred)
• Proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.
• Ability to provide personal care assistance (bathing, grooming, toileting)
• Strength to assist transfers up to 50 lbs
• Experience with medication reminders and monitoring vital signs
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to provide companionship and engage clients in activities
• Reliability and punctuality; flexible hours preferred
• Valid driver’s license or reliable transportation
• Chest X-ray or PPD Skin Test with negative results
• Valid CPR and First Aid certification
• CNA/PCA/HHA Certification

Responsibilities

• Homemaker: grocery shopping, errands, light housekeeping, cooking, meal prep, laundry and ironing
• Private duty care: medication reminders, bathing and oral hygiene, toileting assistance
• Companionship: conversation, reading, games, walks, safety supervision
• Travel Companion: drive and assist clients during trips with safety supervision
• 24 Hour / Overnight care: includes all services and morning/evening routines
• Palliative care: pain management, symptom management, emotional support
• Transferring: lifting and transferring the client
