Job summary

Visiting Angels is hiring Full Time Caregivers to serve clients across East Texas, including Mineola and surrounding towns. You will support clients with daily living activities, meals, errands, and companionship in a home-care setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

• First Aid training or willingness to obtain is required (training provided if needed).

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and hygiene assistance to clients.
• Assist with light physical exercise or walking with clients.
• Plan and prepare meals with clients.
• Perform light housekeeping duties in client homes.
• Report health changes or unusual incidents to supervisors.
• Offer companionship and emotional support.
• Respond quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
• Accompany and supervise clients during shopping trips.
• Remind clients to take prescribed medications as directed.
• Assist with mobility and ambulation at home and during appointments.

Full Time Caregiver Job Requirements:

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Posses a Valid Drivers License, Car Insurance, and a Reliable Personal Vehicle to use to transport clients
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are a must
• Training in First Aid and emergency response is required (provided if needed)
• Have excellent time-management skills and can juggle multiple duties at once
• Reliable transportation to get to and from client homes at the times you're scheduled to provide care
• Feel confident in your physical endurance when it comes to things like carrying groceries and physically supporting a client
• Feel comfortable performing housekeeping and cooking duties while adhering to applicable dietary constraints
• Are willing and able to comply with state and office-specific health and safety standards (ex., background check)
• Bring compassion, understanding, and a desire to brighten the day of each client to the table
