Job summary

Visiting Angels - Longview, TX is hiring At Home Caregivers to support clients across East Texas, including Longview and surrounding towns. You will assist with personal care, meals, light housekeeping, and companionship per individual care plans.

Training in dementia/Alzheimer’s care is available, enhancing your skills and career growth. Shifts include Full Time, Part Time, 8/10/12 hour options, PRN and short shifts.

Qualifications

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Have a valid driver's license, car insurance, and a reliable personal vehicle to transport clients.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Training in First Aid and emergency response is required (provided if needed).
• Excellent time-management skills and ability to juggle multiple duties.
• Reliable transportation to client homes when scheduled.
• Comfortable with housekeeping and cooking duties while following dietary constraints.
• Willing and able to comply with state and office health and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Help clients with personal care and hygiene.
• Assist with light physical activity or walks.
• Plan and prepare meals with clients.
• Handle light housekeeping duties.
• Report health changes or unusual incidents.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Respond quickly to emergencies.
• Accompany and supervise clients during shopping trips.
• Remind clients to take medications as prescribed.
• Assist with mobility and ambulation at home and during appointments.

• Helping clients with personal care and hygiene


• Assisting clients with light physical exercise or walks

• Responding quickly and responsibly in emergencies

At Home Caregiver Job Requirements:

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent


• Posses a Valid Drivers License, Car Insurance, and a Reliable Personal Vehicle to use to transport clients

• Feel confident in your physical endurance when it comes to things like carrying groceries and physically supporting a client

• Are willing and able to comply with state and office-specific health and safety standards (ex., background check)


• Bring compassion, understanding, and a desire to brighten the day of each client to the table
