Job summary

Visiting Angels Tyler is hiring caregivers to serve clients across East Texas, including Mineola and nearby towns. The role focuses on compassionate in-home care with flexible schedules, competitive wages, and opportunities for growth.

You'll assist with personal care, mobility, meals, light housekeeping, and provide companionship, while reporting health changes as needed. Training in dementia and Alzheimer’s care is available for expansion of skills.

Qualifications

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license, car insurance, and a reliable personal vehicle to transport clients.
• First Aid training and emergency response knowledge is required (provided if needed).
• Strong time-management skills and ability to juggle multiple duties.

Responsibilities

• Helping clients with personal care and hygiene.
• Assisting clients with light physical exercise or walks.
• Planning and preparing meals with clients.
• Handling light housekeeping duties.
• Reporting health changes or unusual incidents.
• Providing companionship and emotional support.
• Responding quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
• Accompanying and supervising clients during shopping trips.
• Reminding clients to take prescribed medications.
• Providing assistance with mobility at home and during appointments.

Full Time Caregiver Job Requirements

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Posses a Valid Drivers License, Car Insurance, and a Reliable Personal Vehicle to use to transport clients
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are a must
• Training in First Aid and emergency response is required (provided if needed)
• Have excellent time-management skills and can juggle multiple duties at once
• Reliable transportation to get to and from client homes at the times you're scheduled to provide care
• Feel confident in your physical endurance when it comes to things like carrying groceries and physically supporting a client
• Feel comfortable performing housekeeping and cooking duties while adhering to applicable dietary constraints
• Are willing and able to comply with state and office-specific health and safety standards (ex., background check)
• Bring compassion, understanding, and a desire to brighten the day of each client to the table
