Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ year cook experience in hospital or long-term care.
• ServSafe Certification or ability to obtain.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Knowledge of dietary restrictions and sanitation standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals per menus, diets, and portions.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and sanitation.
• Record food temps and prepare pureed meals as needed.
• Present food appealingly.
• Assist with serving and supervising in absence of Dietary Supervisor.
• Participate in staff training and orientation.
