Job summary

Biewer Wisconsin Sawmill is seeking a Boiler Operator to join the team in Prentice, Wisconsin. This full-time position focuses on safe, efficient operation of the boiler system to support lumber drying kilns.

Responsibilities include monitoring fuel and steam delivery, maintaining pressures, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. Prior industrial experience is preferred; PPE and OSHA compliance are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in industrial manufacturing or sawmill environment.
• Ability to read safety rules and operate equipment.
• Willingness to wear PPE and follow OSHA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and operate solid-fuel boiler system and auxiliary equipment.
• Maintain safe, efficient burn and heat delivery to kilns.
• Control steam flow and boiler pressures within tolerances.
• Inspect pumps, valves, piping, and conveyors; report defects.
• Follow safety procedures and perform lockout/tagout.
• Unload and load fuel storage; manage ash disposal.
