Job summary

Tierra Encantada is hiring two Classroom Assistants for our Preschool classrooms in Old Irving Park, Chicago. The role supports teachers, enhances daily activities, and maintains a welcoming environment for children 6 weeks through 6 years old.

The starting pay ranges from $17.31 to $19.04 per hour, with full-time, five-day schedules and benefits including health coverage and 401(k). Background check is required.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in Spanish.
• Experience in early childhood education preferred.
• CPR and pediatric first aid certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Familiarity with childcare licensing, safety protocols, and best practices in early education.
• Ability to complete annual required trainings and contribute to accreditation goals.

Responsibilities

• Create a fun and welcoming environment for all children.
• Develop daily activities aligned with curriculum and objectives.
• Oversee daily classroom operations and cleanliness.
• Assess children's developmental needs through observations.
• Implement Tierra Encantada's curriculum and lesson plans.
• Collaborate with teachers and leadership for parent conferences.
