Job summary

Shenandoah University’s Child Care Center is seeking a dedicated Substitute to support daily activities in a full-time benefited role in Winchester, Virginia. You will assist teachers, communicate with parents, and uphold center policies and state regulations to ensure a safe, nurturing environment for young children.

Responsibilities include helping with meals and diapering, maintaining hygiene, sanitizing the classroom and toys, and providing active engagement with children throughout the day.

Responsibilities

• Assist teacher in daily activities
• Maintain frequent communications with parents about their child’s day
• Learn and Implement all center policies and state regulations
• Ensure a healthy classroom environment – including maintaining appropriate hygiene and cleanliness standards and safety and security of children
• Feed, Diaper and potty-train children
• Clean and sanitize classroom, toys and tables
• Interact with children throughout the day
• Other Duties as assigned by Director/Assistant Director
