Job summary

Hands Of Heartland Inc. in Omaha, NE is seeking dependable direct support professionals to assist individuals with developmental disabilities and behavioral challenges. Compensation ranges from $18.00 to $23.00 hourly with full-time benefits and tuition assistance.

Preferred candidates have at least two years of related experience or a degree/certification in behavioral health, plus a valid driver's license and ability to lift up to 75 pounds when needed.

Qualifications

• Two years of related behavioral experience preferred.
• Degree or certification related to behavioral health preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to pass registry and background checks.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds as needed.
• Ability to use verbal and physical intervention in emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Support personal goals for individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Administer medications.
• Plan and prepare meals.
• Assist with activities of daily living.
• Transport to and from day program and community outings.
• Reinforce therapies including speech, behavioral support, and physical therapy.
• Ensure all needs are addressed with dignity and personal choice.
• Complete and maintain required documentation on a web-based system.
