Job summary

Aster Hall, a part of Hogsalt, is seeking a dedicated Full Time Bartender to join our team in Chicago. The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of bartending experience in a fast-paced restaurant, a passion for hospitality, and a positive attitude.

Expect nights, weekends, and holiday shifts with a focus on exceptional guest service. You will stock and set up stations, craft cocktails to standard, guide guests through menus, and collaborate with FOH and leadership to ensure smooth service.

Qualifications

• 1 year of bartending experience in a fast-paced, full-service restaurant.
• Passion for excellence, superior service standards, and a positive attitude.
• Strong food and beverage knowledge with the desire to continually learn more.
• Open availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the shift, including lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all stations are stocked and set up before and during service.
• Provide consistent, genuine, and generous service to all guests.
• Prepare cocktails according to standards; pour wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages.
• Guide guests through the menu and dining experience with thoughtful recommendations.
• Course all food items and ensure satisfaction of each item/course.
• Work with bartenders, FOH staff, and leadership for a smooth service.
• Address guest needs or concerns promptly; communicate issues to leadership.
• Observe safety procedures and dietary restrictions.
• Ensure proper payment is collected from guests.
• Complete closing duties including financial checkout and housekeeping tasks.
• Execute all applicable Steps Of Service.
