Job Title: Bakery Associate

This is a full-time position responsible for baking products according to standards, processing, packaging, and stocking Fresh Foods products following Fresh Foods Standards. The role also includes cleaning work areas, providing customer service, unloading stock, and reloading salvage. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required. Responsibilities and Requirements

1. Personal Skills: Exceptional interpersonal skills. Willingness to participate in and complete required training. Ability to work with the team to increase customer satisfaction and sales.
2. Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED; or 1-3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
3. Language Skills: Ability to read and understand simple instructions, memos, and correspondence in English. Ability to present information effectively in one-on-one and small group situations.
4. Mathematical Skills: Ability to perform addition and subtraction of two-digit numbers, including handling money and weight measurements.
5. Reasoning Ability: Ability to understand and carry out detailed instructions and solve problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations.
6. Certificates and Licenses: Completion of company's training programs including orientation, food sanitation, customer service, safety, and product knowledge.
7. Physical Demands: Regularly required to stand, walk, handle, reach, talk, hear, and taste or smell. Occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch. Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally. Specific vision abilities include close vision, color, and depth perception.
8. Work Environment: Moderate environment with frequent exposure to hot, cold, moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, and chemicals. Noise level is usually moderate to loud. Reasonable accommodations can be made for disabilities.

Additional Information

• Posting Date: May 20, 2025
• Compensation: Harris Teeter reasonably expects to pay between $15.25/hour and $22.50/hour, depending on experience and skills.
