Job summary

Johnson Genesis of Cary is hiring a Full-Time Experienced Automotive Detailer to join our Cary, NC team. The role focuses on comprehensive vehicle care, interior/exterior cleaning, waxing, and defect removal to prepare cars for guests.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of detailing experience, can drive manual transmissions, and works well in a team while following safety guidelines. Benefits and a flexible schedule are available as part of Johnson Automotive’s offerings.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 2–3 years of automotive detailing experience is required.
• Ability to properly maintain tools and products while diligently following safety guidelines.
• Must be self-motivating and work well in a team environment.
• A valid driver’s license and a clear driving record.
• Ability to meet company’s employment requirements including a clean criminal background and drug screen.
• Must be detail oriented and have excellent time management skills.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs.
• Have the ability to sit, stand, walk and drive a vehicle for extended periods of time.
• Must be available to work a flexible work schedule.
• Must be able to drive manual transmission cars.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug test, background check, driving record check and E-Verify.

Responsibilities

• Wash vehicle exterior, clean interior and exterior windows.
• Wax, polish and buff exterior.
• Shampoo and vacuum seats, carpets, trunk, cargo area and other upholstery.
• Clean engine and engine compartments.
• Remove defects and swirls.
• Clean and prepare all sold vehicles for guests.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
