Job summary

The successful candidate will perform spays/neuters, dental procedures, and complex surgeries, while communicating effectively with clients and referral partners to ensure continuity of care.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an AVMA-accredited veterinary school.
• Active licensure as a veterinarian in the state of the hospital or ability to obtain by start date.
• Current DEA license and, if applicable, Current Controlled Substance License.
• USDA Category I accreditation or completion within two months of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent patient care through physical exams, diagnosing and treating diseases, and preventive care.
• Document patient observations and diagnoses in medical records with clarity and detail.
• Perform routine and complex surgeries including spays/neuters, abdominal exploratories, and mass removals.
• Conduct routine and complex dental procedures including exams, radiographs, extractions, and oral surgeries.
• Develop treatment plans for day hospitalization and coordinate with referral hospitals for continuity of care.
