Join to apply for the Full-Time Assistant Store Manager role at ALDI USA.

When you join our team as an Assistant Store Manager, you’ll take on key store management responsibilities including supervising daily store activities, ensuring overall store performance, managing schedules, developing operational plans, and identifying training opportunities to develop the team.

Position Details
  • Type: Full-Time
  • Average Hours: 38 hours/week
  • Starting Wage: $24.00/hr
  • Wage Increase: Year 2 - $25.00/hr
Responsibilities
  • Assist in developing and implementing action plans to improve results.
  • Set clear job responsibilities and performance expectations for team members.
  • Identify training opportunities to enhance team performance.
  • Communicate and embody company values to foster teamwork.
  • Monitor community environment and recommend adjustments to maintain competitiveness.
  • Provide product feedback and make recommendations on inventory.
  • Participate in hiring processes.
  • Communicate store updates and milestones.
  • Ensure compliance with inventory, product handling, and cash policies.
  • Resolve customer concerns in the absence of the store leader.
  • Maintain safety standards and store cleanliness.
  • Assist with stock levels and merchandising.
  • Support payroll, inventory, and training goals.
  • Supervise daily team operations and escalate issues when necessary.
  • Ensure team provides excellent customer service.
  • Uphold company policies and confidentiality.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands
  • Stock merchandise, lift up to 45 pounds, and operate store equipment.
  • Regularly sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, and walk.
Qualifications
  • Must be 21 or older.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams.
  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Develop rapport and trust with team members.
  • Interpret policies and establish goals.
  • Manage budgeting and expenses.
  • Operate cash registers and store equipment safely.
  • Communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
  • Stay organized and detail-oriented.
  • Meet state and local requirements for handling alcohol.
Education & Experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • At least 3 years of retail experience.
  • Management experience preferred.
