When you join our team as an Assistant Store Manager, you’ll take on key store management responsibilities including supervising daily store activities, ensuring overall store performance, managing schedules, developing operational plans, and identifying training opportunities to develop the team.
Position Details
- Type: Full-Time
- Hours: 38 hours/week
- Starting Wage: $26.00/hour
- Wage Increase: Year 2 - $27.00/hour
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and implementing action plans to improve results
- Set and communicate job responsibilities and expectations
- Identify training opportunities for team development
- Communicate and embody company values to foster teamwork
- Monitor community environment and suggest adjustments
- Provide product feedback and participate in hiring
- Ensure inventory, product handling, and cash policies are followed
- Resolve customer concerns and maintain store safety and cleanliness
- Assist with stock levels, merchandising, and product quality
- Support payroll, inventory, and training goals
- Supervise daily team operations and ensure customer service excellence
- Uphold company policies and confidentiality
- Perform other duties as assigned
Physical Demands
- Stock merchandise, lift up to 45 pounds, and perform store duties
- Must be able to sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, and walk regularly
Qualifications
- Must be 18+ years old
- Ability to work independently and in teams
- Customer service skills and leadership ability
- Communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
- Ability to operate store equipment safely
- Meet state requirements for handling alcohol (if applicable)
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- At least 3 years retail experience, management experience preferred
