We’re searching for a Full-Time Assistant Manager to help lead our civic-minded, pop culture-driven brand. You’ll support the Store Manager in achieving store objectives related to sales targets, recruiting, and development. Think of yourself as Harry Potter and Luke Skywalker rolled into one; capable of handling anything that comes your way while driving sales and building lifelong customer relationships.
WHAT YOU'LL DO- Support your Store Manager in achieving sales plans and/or comparable sales goals. While not solely about the revenue, it’s a key part of the role.
- Help recruit, develop, and retain a passionate, collaborative team to run your store effectively.
- Create buzz and customer engagement by promoting new products, leveraging social media, and utilizing benefits like BOPIS and curbside pickup.
- Provide leadership to ensure the store operates smoothly, balancing operational tasks, delegation, autonomy, and customer-first selling practices.
- Monitor shrink/loss prevention, payroll hours, and associate schedules to maintain operational excellence.
- Communicate effectively with retail leadership and HQ regarding trends and customer feedback.
- Use sales reports and data analytics to inform your strategy and meet sales targets.
- Merchandise the store compellingly, following planograms and launching promotions on schedule.
- Develop your team of loyal, high-performing, customer-focused associates in partnership with your Store Manager.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED- At least 1-2 years of retail store management experience. Passion for philanthropy and pop culture is a plus!
- Proven success in leading teams, with skills in communication, recruiting, operations, and team development.
- Strong skills in communication, time management, professionalism, and operational tasks, with a drive to develop your team.
- You must be at least 18 years old to join our team.
- A high school diploma or GED; a degree is a bonus.
- Ability to adapt to the fast-changing retail environment and handle unexpected challenges.
- Basic retail skills, including navigating the store, merchandising, and handling merchandise weighing up to 50 pounds.
