Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or higher is required.
• Current Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements is required.
• Special Education Certification or certification to be completed within a year is required.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.

Responsibilities

• Increase student performance in content area and on standardized testing.
• Present material according to TEA guidelines and school policies.
• Use effective instructional strategies and materials for assigned students.
• Collaborate with special education staff to modify curriculum per IEPs.
• Assess student achievement using formal and informal methods.
• Maintain professional behavior and participate in staff development.
• Develop relationships with students, colleagues and community.
• Manage student behavior according to policies and student conduct codes.
• Stay informed of district and school regulations and report documentation as required.
